A photography competition by Saal Digital in collaboration with Hahnemühle

From 1 September to 2 November 2026, photographers across Europe are invited to submit their best work and compete in selected categories. As this edition places a special focus on connecting photography with high-quality print presentation, each category winner will receive:

  • £850 voucher for Saal Digital products
  • £850 voucher for Hahnemühle products printed by Saal Digital

About the competition

Submit your best image to the Saal Digital European Photo Awards 2026 from 1 September to 2 November 2026 via the Saal Photo Awards platform. Simply choose the category that best matches your work and complete the upload in just a few clicks. After the submission period ends, a jury will review all entries and select one winner per category. Each category winner will receive £850 voucher for Saal Digital products and £850 voucher for Hahnemühle products printed by Saal Digital. The winners will be announced in November 2026.

The 2026 categories are: Wedding, Landscape and Nature, Black and White, Travel and Documentary, FineArt and Artistic Vision, Sustainability

  • Click on “Participate Now”: Start your entry by clicking the button below.
  • Select Your Category.: Choose the theme that best fits your photo from the options provided.
  • Upload Your Photo: Click on Upload images and submit your image files in just a few clicks.
If you don’t yet have a Saal Digital account, you can create one quickly during your submission.
  • Our team will verify that your image meets the Participation Conditions.
  • All participants will receive an automatic confirmation email acknowledging receipt of their submission.

For the European Photo Awards 2026, Saal Digital is collaborating with Hahnemühle to connect photography with premium FineArt print presentation.

By combining Saal Digital’s print expertise with Hahnemühle FineArt papers, this edition places a special focus on the visual and tactile quality of printed photography. Selected winning images may also be produced as FineArt prints for exhibitions, trade shows, and campaign communication. Whenever these works are presented, the photographers will be clearly credited, creating additional visibility and recognition for their work beyond the awards themselves.

Each category winner of the Saal Digital European Photo Awards 2026 will receive prizes worth £1,700 in total:

  • £850 voucher for Saal Digital products
  • £850 voucher for Hahnemühle products printed by Saal Digital

In addition, selected winning images may be produced as FineArt prints on Hahnemühle paper and showcased in exhibitions, at trade shows, and in campaign communication, with full credit to the photographer.

Frequently asked questions

How do I take part?
Click on your chosen category, then click the “Upload Picture” button. You’ll be guided to create a free Saal Digital account if you don’t already have one. Once registered, you can upload your photo and complete your entry.
Who can participate?
The competition is open to both professional and hobby photographers.
Can I submit multiple pictures in one category?
Yes – you can submit more than one photo in a single category, but the total number of submissions across all categories is limited to 5 photos.
Can I participate in different categories?
Yes – you can submit photos to different categories, provided that the total number of submissions does not exceed 5 photos in total.
What happens with my pictures after the competition?

You retain the copyright to your images. By entering the competition, you grant Saal Digital a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide right to use selected images solely in connection with the competition, its promotion, and the presentation of its results.

Selected images may be featured on competition and Saal Digital websites, in galleries, newsletters, social media, promotional materials, events, trade shows, exhibitions, communications by selected cooperation partners, and an award summary photo book or similar publication. Whenever reasonably possible, your name will be credited.

How will I know the names of the winners?
We will announce the winners publicly on our social media channels and on the official competition page in early November 2026.
